Steps to Success
Our goal is to teach our community to save money by couponing. We want the individuals in our community to learn how to manage their financial burdens. As individuals we know the financial struggles we face in life. Our program is based on teaching individuals how to correctly manage their money. We want our community to be able to get their everyday basic necessities.
Our plan is to start with our classmates who would like to be part of our program. We will announce the time and place of the meetings in the morning through the intercom, and we will distribute flyers. This would require at least 45 minutes every day during our development class. We will teach them how to manage the money according to the system we have planned out. First, we are going to teach them their goals and plan out how we are going to get there. The class is going to be divided into at least 3 sections: budgeting, gathering resources, and parent workshop. They will have to know how coupons are used and the store policies. This information will be given to them by us. Coupons will be provided, but they are required to bring a binder or folder of some sort. We will hold our class in an available room provided by the school with the Mac laptops. They will need computers in order to get information and do research. Eventually we will hold a workshop where students gather with their parents and share what they learned in class. If this program is a success, we will consider expanding it to a larger crowd.
