Twenty-four 10th and 11th graders, students at Moravian Academy, are meeting after school hours in the spring of 2008 to plan for and start-up four new businesses. After just two meetings, each team has formulated a rough draft business plan and presented to the three remaining student groups. Business plans include an outdoor family movie experience, an in-school morning bistro, a unique and personal accessories/jewelry creation and a personalized calculator cove business. These Moravian Academy sophomores and juniors will meet through the 2007-2008 school year as they continue to explore and grow their businesses. Charter Partners Institute will provide resources, mentors, information and capital as these young students experience how to be the next generation of cooperative entrepreneurs.
