“Entrepreneurship is an option. Integrity is not!”………….. is the main message the Trust Tour takes to student gatherings in our schools. Focused mainly on middle and junior high school students, the message implores young people to solve problems creatively (think), work together in groups to make the most impact on a solution (team) and be trustworthy and respectful (trust).
Successful entrepreneurs volunteer to share their life and work experiences with large assembled groups of students in their school settings. Students are encouraged to consider entrepreneurship as a career choice, but are challenged to work creatively and with integrity in whatever field they choose.
Charter Partners Institute delivers the Trust Tour with an impactful and invigorating presentation, using power point, music and audience interaction. Charter Partners Institute gifts the schools and students with tactile reminders of this important message of “trust” on Trust Towels, buttons and posters.
Trust is the basis for our happiness and distrust the basis for our fear. There is beauty when trust is present and devastation when it is absent. We are currently experiencing a crisis of trust in every aspect of our lives, political, financial, ecological, and social. It has become the number one problem in our world. Trust is the very basis for our existence, without it there would be no reason to live.
Our founder, Todd Welch, decided that there is nothing more important he could do with his life than to try to help change the tide. He dedicated his personal Trust Tour on Thanksgiving Day 2009, committing to spend 1000 days learning about trust and to document 1000 trust experiences. Along the way he hopes to inspire people to start their own Trust Tour. Trust and risk are an inseparable partnership. Todd invite you to take this small personal risk so that we might have the opportunity to raise the bar on trust in our world.
